 WHAT

Supplemental Income Protection Plan (SIPP) Requests for 2nd Quarter 2020 in Southeast Internal Career Resource Center (iCRC) for CWA Southeast region represented employees. 

 WHEN

On March 1, 2020 to present, employees using the Southeast Internal Career Resource Center (iCRC) system to input SIPP requests for the 2nd Quarter 2020 may have received error messages while trying to input their requests for the upcoming quarter. In some instances, a glitch in the system may have shown SIPP Granted for the 1st Quarter, 2020 although the employee had not been officially granted the SIPP option by the Priority Placement Team. In order to address both issues in iCRC, employees who had a request in for the 1st Quarter, 2020 will not have the ability to input their SIPP requests for the 2nd Quarter, 2020 until March 13, 2020.  

 On March 13, 2020, employees will be able to:

  • Successfully input SIPP requests for the 2nd Quarter 2020
  • Manage 2nd Quarter SIPP requests for Locking and Cancelling requests until March 31, 2020
  • Receive immediate confirmation of their requests after saving their input

 WHAT THIS MEANS FOR EMPLOYEES with 1st Quarter SIPP Requests:

  • Employees who have a SIPP request in for the 1st Quarter, 2020 are temporarily suspended from inputting a SIPP request for the 2nd Quarter, 2020 until March 13, 2020 in iCRC 
  • Employees who currently do not have a SIPP request on file for the 1st Quarter, 2020 can input requests for the 2nd Quarter 2020
  • Effective Friday March 13, 2020, employees should no longer receive error message in iCRC when inputting SIPP requests for the next quarter.

 IMPORTANT: As a reminder, the offer period for SIPP is always the month proceeding the surplus quarter. For example, for the 3rd Quarter, 2020 June 2020 will be the offer period in the Internal Career Resource Center.
